Available permissions
Permissions types
The permissions available to clients is dependent on the specific environment and whether the Managed Fusion implementation has gone live in production. There are two permission types:
- Developer access: Client has access to full environment and can configure at will; user management permissions and Solr admin access denied, however. User management and Solr deployments will be handled by Lucidworks.
- Read-Only access: Client has the ability to view configuration but not change it. Full Production access to Predictive Merchandiser, rules management and experiments, however - contracts allowing. Any changes that need to be made outside of these systems will need to be made in stage and promoted to production by Lucidworks.
Pre go-live
For implementations which are pre-go-live, the following permissions are available:
- Pre-production (Dev, Stage, QA, Perf): Developer access
- Production: Developer access
Post go-live
For implementations which are post-go-live, the following permissions are available:
- Pre-production (Dev, Stage, QA, Perf): Developer access
- Production: Read-Only Access
New user and existing user maintenance requests
To request a new user be created/removed, or maintenance of an existing user, follow these steps:
- Visit the Support Portal and click Sign in in the upper-right corner
- Once signed in, click Submit a request in the upper-right corner
- Select Support Request and fill out the following fields:

Subject: Use whichever subject is appropriate:
- Request to add new Managed Fusion user
- Request to remove Managed Fusion user
- Maintenance request for existing Managed Fusion user

Description:
- Username(s): The username(s) of the new user or existing user requiring maintenance
- Environment(s): The lucidworks.cloud URL(s) of the environment related to the request

Specific Actions: List the specific action(s) to be fulfilled
- Example 1: Please create the new user with read-only access in the Dev and Stage environments and share the credentials.
- Example 2: Please remove the user from all environments as the user has left our company.
- Example 3: Please elevate the existing user from read-only access to developer access in the Stage environment.
- Example 4: I've lost access to the user password and need it to be reset for the Dev environment. Please reset and share the temporary password.
- Severity: S4 - Minor
- Product Line: Managed Fusion (Lucidworks-Hosted)
- Environment: Select the appropriate environment (for multi-environment requests, ensure each environment is clearly specified in the ticket description field above)
